The Middle East is a region where automobile is king and fuel is inexpensive, frequently leaving little incentive to discover more environmentally-friendly methods of moving.

But this year, as across the Middle East have risen the price of oil, the concern of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In a region that has among the greatest carbon footprints worldwide, one service is benefiting from the growing pressure to find alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's very first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing lucrative too, already their client-list includes McDonald's.
